I am excited to announce the publication of my latest paper, co-authored with Udo Wagner, in the Review of Managerial Science. Our paper explores the intricacies of consumer behavior under the Pay-As-You-Wish (PAYW) pricing model, a radical departure from traditional posted pricing schemes.

Key Highlights:

• Extended Modeling: We extend an established model to better understand both the behavior of consumers and the profits by sellers under PAYW pricing. Warning: Parts of the paper are quite technical.
• Consumer Segmentation: Our paper introduces a new segment of consumers with low fairness concerns, expanding the scope of existing research.
• Profitability Conditions: Our work offers insights into the conditions under which PAYW pricing can be profitable for sellers.
• Measurement: We offer ideas on how to measure and model whether PAYW will be profitable or not.
